Turn on the screen, and Say hello, there is Nowhere we can't go Turn off your brain, and Plug it in, we'll See just where you might fit in So press agree, don't Read the terms, they Contain all of these big words Depressing life That you have made Sitting inside cyberspace Watching me as I count electric sheep Watching you as you so quietly weep The stress and loneliness gets under our skin Don't see where the dreams end or where they begin Turn off the screen, and Say goodbye to the Sacred, cherished lie You'll hurry now before the Fake, hollow thoughts Fade away Watching me as I count electric sheep Watching you as you so quietly weep The stress and loneliness gets under our skin Don't see where the dreams end or where they begin Just turn it off So disagree, deny The herd, but you're Still there, trapped in big words Depressing life That you have made Sitting outside the human race Turn it off Watching me as I count electric sheep Watching you as you so quietly weep The stress and loneliness gets under our skin Don't see where the dreams end or where they begin

Reverie 03:33
This is a story about every Single person I know Who've had their tender hearts Ripped apart and left with a hole We try and try and yet Goodbye's the only word we can say A single sound comes from the ground It's footsteps leading away We hope against hope that the Boat will float even as it rocks Nothing to do except feel blue Listening to ticking clocks Or maybe skydive into someone's life If we're feeling brave Or better yet, we'll just forget how we were Meant to behave The only thing that saves Me from caving in Under these memories Is this reverie So, we'll live high-strung and Will be seen for all the things that we're not To be a walking coping mechanism Is what we're taught Let's trade in self-respect for money Each and every working day And on the weekend we'll pretend that Everything is okay The only thing that saves Me from caving in Under these memories Is this reverie Slipping away, just Sliding away Trapped in these lives we never chose A generation that just froze This is a story about every Single person I know

Dust 01:17
I am sitting inside a twilight Now I will do everything I must All of my pain and hatred turns into A handful of dust You were there all along, I was Just as right as wrong to Blame all the misery and Blisters on finger on you I saw a little glow as you Let everything go, then You wanted everything again I am sitting inside a twilight Now I will do everything I must All of my pain and hatred turns into A handful of dust

Energy! 03:32
This energy is taking over me Can now see something I could never see Went through the motions far too many times You read this energy between lines It's filling up every corner now I've got to share this energy somehow There's not much more of this that I can show I only have one word: go! This energy is taking over me Can now see something I could never see Went through the motions far too many times You read this energy between lines Food for the soul Caffeine for the mind When you're in the mode You're dancing all night Feels like a weight's been lifted off of me No reason to complain 'Cause I have energy This energy is taking over me Can now see something I could never see Went through the motions far too many times You read this energy between lines

Run 06:09
A dream made so disjointed And painful to behold Such empty headed anger You seem oh so cold, so cold Then it turned into a nightmare And for what it's worth You truly did hang in there But the feeling won't return When you've been burned Looking on the bright side We're still alive, we're still alive Don't say that you didn't try 'Cause that's a lie, that's a lie This Jekyll and Hyde behaviour Only compounds all your woes Now you're total strangers Strangers that you know You play the game of blaming Because you can't let go You've never been too good with failure And now you've lost control, but Looking on the bright side We're still alive, we're still alive Don't say that you didn't try 'Cause that's a lie, that's a lie So run in your own direction If it's meant to be then we will see Each other again Looking on the bright side We're still alive, we're still alive Don't say that you didn't try 'Cause that's a lie, that's a lie

You can do Anything that you want Do you want to be loved Or just be known? Well, who can say What is right, what is wrong? This is something you Decide for yourself Hey, when there's a price on Everything, nothing is true And you'll get just what You paid for Wind you up and watch you go Circling me fast and slow You don't know and I don't know, so Wind me up and watch me go I can do Anything that I want Well and good if it should Be pleasing you, but It's not opinion that I'm searching for I look for happiness and Higher truth What the hell is Your damn problem now? Touchiness isn't Really my thing, so You can either help Me understand, or just Leave me out of these Battles with yourself Wind you up and watch you go Circling me fast and slow You don't know and I don't know, so Wind me up and watch me go Watch me go Watch me Wind you up and watch you go Circling me fast and slow You don't know and I don't know, so Wind me up and watch me go

Sore Eyes 03:52
There's something alive in here with me Doesn't know what it wants to be Sometimes I can feel it grow But there's one thing that I know, that: I love you baby Want you to take me Won't you come and Hold me through the night, alright? I need you darlin' Howling at the moon and stars, and Without you, I'm a Lonely lonely sight (for sore eyes) I'm swimmin' around inside my head Trying to catch my thoughts again I find it hard to let things slide Every once in a while But you know that: I love you baby Want you to take me Won't you come and Hold me through the night, alright? I need you darlin' Howling at the moon and stars, and Without you, I'm a Lonely lonely sight (for sore eyes) Eyes Can't Close Not tonight I Can't sleep At all I Would do It all again Just For you I love you baby Want you to take me Won't you come and Hold me through the night, alright? I need you darlin' Howling at the moon and stars, and Without you, I'm a Lonely lonely sight (for sore eyes)

I fell and stumbled on air You picked me up with mere words I fall and stumble again You kiss me where it hurts, and sing: Close your eyes, young soul You need time to grow Walk on through the cold With your own blindfold I hear a mighty roar Filling up all I know So say that you want more Well, if you say so... Close your eyes, young soul You need time to grow Walk on through the cold With your own blindfold

about

This album was originally completed at the start of 2011. I'd reached a pretty good point in my life and had time to sit down and really mess with ideas.

The title of the album is a reference to Philip K. Dick's A Scanner Darkly, and the track Electric Sheep is a reference to the same author's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, also known as Blade Runner.

I've also thrown in a bonus track for all those hopeless romantics out there.
