about

The subject matter of the lyrics were to do with the recollection of my (Liam's) earlier childhood. My family had to move around a lot and I never felt settled down anywhere for very long, so I got used to not trying to make too many friends whom I'd miss, and would often just play on my own.

As with all the other tracks on the album, I had a few riff ideas on guitar and lyrics, then I added spontaneous riffs as Robert arranged things mainly on his own with a minimal amount of input from me. We wanted to reduce the amount of distortion at one point some time after making the album, but had lost all the original stems!

lyrics

Children playing
Sadness inside
Fallen, broken
Lost, stolen

All these memories
Haunting me inside
Falling slowly
I lose my pride

Hoping for present
To become past
Waiting, leaving it
All behind

All these memories
Haunting me inside
Falling slowly
I lose my pride
